Why is the max charge on my Note 2 capping out at 72%?

Have noticed that the max charge getting to my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 while on the charger all night only goes to a max. charge of 72-73% ... Why is that & how can I fix it please ?

Welcome to Android Central! Try letting it drain until it automatically shuts off, then plug it into a wall outlet and let it sit for a good 12 hours, without trying to power it on.
