Why won't my Samsung Galaxy Note II boot or power on?

Samsung Galaxy Note II won't boot or cannot power on.

hi there, I have Samsung galaxy note II, all of a sudden it won't start up or boot when I press the Power button. When I connect it to power outlet or to PC with its cable, first the android picture appears for 1 to 2 seconds and then the battery-charging picture. After that, it's off, nothing on the screen, just black.

Any advice please.
