files not showing on the phone and exists as a used space

Im using a galaxy note 2
my phone was running out of storage, and then the files that's saved in the device storage stopped appearing on the phone or on the computer when i plug it in the USB, although it shows as a used space on the phone and from the computer.
I uninstalled the applications and showed the hidden files.. still no results
SD card didn't get affected
how can I get my data?

Welcome to the forums. Have you tried updating the drivers for your PC?

It may be your best shot at getting those files.

Unless you've "moved" apps to the card. They won't show as used space, but they will take up space.

i didn't move it, will not only the apps data are not showing.. either media or documents..
although it's still taking space from the device storage
