Well guys, now that some of us have our Note 3's, Im wanting to see if anyone has purchases a UHS-1 compliant card like the sandisk extreme, or the samsung pro series, both of these can reach 70 read using UHS-1, but Im not sure if our phone supports this format, because if it doesnt than any ol class 10 microsd card will have to suffice, im just hoping someone can test a normal microsd card with class 10 speed and a microsd UHS-1 card and see if there's a speed difference using apps like SD tester, please post your findidings!

On Android Central's podcast last Friday it was confirmed that the Note 3 does not support UHS-1 so we won't be seeing those 60-70MB/s speeds. However, you will still get some of what the Sandisk Extreme has to offer in durability and in performance (when reading and writing while attached to your PC).

LOL. That's a hyper card...663.73MB/s read eh? I want one of those.

This is my 64GB Sandisk Extreme in my S4:

So, can we use a UHS-1 MicroSD card without all of the performance? Or, is it completely incompatible with Note 3? I have one in my shopping cart and am waiting to pull the trigger.

I have the 64 gig Ultra in my note 2, there is no reason for it to not work on a note 3. Technology usually doesn't move backwards.

The Ultra is all anyone should need. I hope they prove more durable in the Note 3 than they have in the S4.
