Does the stock message app have an mms data adjustment?

Meaning can I adjust the mms file being sent. Is there any where in the phone that there's an adjustment. Most androids I've seen at least have had this (300kb-2mb for example)

Not sure if this answers your question, but when I sent an MMS it compressed it, and told me it was doing so...

Well it is an answer but I was wondering if there was a default option but my assuming Samsung text app does what the iPhone does for you which is decide how big to send it.
