internet explorer question

Anyway to turn off the open new window in explorer. I've tried to look for a setting but can't find one. When I use the phone internet,I prefer to open pages in the same window. For some reason it opens a new window for everything and I find I'll have there separate pages open. I know Windows has a setting for open new pages in same window but I don't see a setting.

I tried chrome and not really liking it. I'd rather stay on the stock browser.
