Verizon Note 3 Issues

I just purchased my Note 3 last night. This is my first Android. I had a iPhone 4 prior with no complication. The problem I am having with my Note 3 is when I attempt to make a call out either by dialing from the numerical pad or by going to recent calls & selecting a call I made prior or form my contacts, while the phone says it is dialing there is no ring. It is more like it is searching for service & then I hear the ring as the call is actually going out to the party I am calling. The Note 3 says it is calling without a ring & then I will hear a click 30 to 60 seconds later & then I hear the party I am callings phone ring until they answer. Why is there such a delay in a good service area? After I have pressed the call button there is silence for 30 to 60 seconds before it actually places the call?

Sounds like a detective unit. Try a factory data reset since you just got the phone if that doesn't fix them go to the store for a replacement
