Default Note 3 loses 2 cores?

Ive had my galaxy note 3 for about a week now and this has only just happened this once but for some reason the snapdragon 800 dropped 2 cores randomly.
I didnt even have power saving mode on or any sort of saving mode.

Before the 2 cores dropped I was getting 23K on quadrant and then when the 2 cores dropped I was only getting 14K.

Has anyone else experienced this issue or is this meant to happen? The only way to fix was a reboot.

Does anyone actually know why? Is it something that the snapdragon does or is it some sort of bug?

I thought the Note 3 followed the S4 in that 2 cores were for intensity and the other 2 were battery conserving.

I mean 2 cores actually go inactive and dont come on, I downloaded an app to check to see what cores are active and It only showed 2. The other two were at 0%, my battery was also around 60%

S800 throttles to 1.5ghz when CPU temperature reaches 65c
Try any app from play store and monitor your CPU temperature - frequency during a intensive task.
(That would tell if cpu is throttling or not)
