I'm at my family's house for New Year's. I'm on their wifi network which is from a cable Internet. It should be very fast. I tried watching a few videos on YouTube and it kept freezing up...All the time; about every 10-15 seconds. It's really annoying. I shut down all active programs and tried again but got the same result. Is there anything else that I can do?

It worked fine at home. But, there's only one other device on right now...It's really strange.

It might help to run a speed test on their system.
If it worked fine at home and now its giving you issues there its possible they have problems on the cable modem end.
I have a cable modem at home thru Time Warner Cable. About once a month i have issues with connectivity because somewhere up stream is a bad connection. I get higher then normal ping times and i also get higher then normal packet loss.
My digital cable also has issues so i know the problem is on their end. BUT they cant ever seem to fix it because it takes days or weeks for them to send a crew. By that time its resolved its self.

It's their Internet. Fast or not cable throttles at times of very heavy load. I've seen it with my own home internet (comcast) which has prevented me streaming 1080P streams before... When I usually do them all the time without issue.
