Contacts vs. "Caller ID"

I followed a few other posts in this forum to disable some of the bloatware on my GN3, including the "Caller Name ID" app from Verizon. Previously, when my wife called from a number that I have labeled with her name under Contacts, her name and picture were displayed. Now it just displays “wireless caller”, which could pretty much be anybody. The same happens with a landline that I have labeled in Contacts as “Home” but it shows my name when that number calls me because the landline is registered to me.
Any idea what I might have done to cause this glitch or any idea about how to reverse the error?

Have you tried re-enabling the "Caller Name ID" process? It sounds like this is just what you're missing and not something that needs to be disabled...

I tried that and rebooted. App Manager shows it as "running" but that did not solve the problem.
