I can't seem to get Google Now working on my Samsung Note 3.
I tried double clicking the home button but the "g" is greyed out.
    Can anyone help?

Screenshots? Are you on a rooted or unrooted device? Was it working before and did it suddenly stop working or has it never worked? Are you sure the icon you're pressing is Google search (it's what brings up Google now)?

You have to turn it on. Click in the middle (not the mic) of the Google search bar and then it should prompt you to opt in to Google now.

This is what the settings on mine looks like. But I assume you can't even reach the settings if you can't enter the app?

It is turned on. Click in the middle there and see if it takes you to Google now.
