Hi,
I need an urgent help. I just updated my note 3 with official kitkat 4.4.2 update from samsung.
the update finished successfully but on restarting for the first time my phone is rebooting again and again automatically.
just after starting it says head phones disconnected ..enabling power mode and then voila it will reboot and restart automatically.
Again this cycle is ongoing since the time i update the note to 4.4.2.
I am not able to do anything on the phone as it seems to have gone in to an infinite loop cycle of restarting again and again.

please help and provide suggestions as to what i can do to solve this issue.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I tried doing that but still the same issue.
The problem seems to be the SIM. When i remove the SIM and then restart my phone it is starting properly and then not rebooting again.
but when i Place my SIM inside it seems to go again in the same cycle of restarting again and again.
it was fine uptil i update the veriosn to 4.4.2.

Welcome to Android Central! Have you tried booting into recovery and wiping the cache partition? Reset: Samsung Galaxy Note 3 | T-Mobile Support

Are you able to get a replacement SIM from your provider?

Hi,
thanks. I Did a factory reset for my phone. And now it is working fine with the SIM installed. I dont know why this happened maybe some bug.

Hi,

I have the same rebooting issue, resolved without a sim card installed, installing any sim makes it boot loop.

I'm really loathed to do a factory reset - is there a good guide to back everything up properly so I can reset the phone and everything is transparent?

TIA,

John.

Oh the other thing that works, is if you slap it into airplane mode real quick then its ok, as soon as you enable cellular even with with data off it bootloops :(

hi John,
I tried everything. removing the SIM will only make it work temporarily. As soon as i put my SIM back in the same bootloop thing happens.
i had already done a backup before updating to kitkat so was able reinstall everything.
but i cant find any solution or to why this happening anywhere on the net.

I did the dreaded reset last night - thanks to the back up link it went relatively smoothly - nothing important lost and a fully operational phone again!

Thanks!

i have the same problem my note 3 restarts every day. I have the SM-9005 international version, i?ve the problem since the 4.4.2 update

Mine restarts it's self since the upgrade to kitkat. It's not continuous, but fairly frequently. It's just really annoying, gcloud is a brilliant free app, it backs up everything, settings, pics, texts etc. My note 2 was faulty and I had loads of factory resets, but didn't lose anything. Love my note 3 as it's replacement!

KitKat on Note 3' has been causing lots of users issues, I had to go through 3 note 3's until I finally just stuck with Jelly Bean with no issues.
