It all depends on what you wanted. iPhone 5 and 340 bucks is a good deal if you're happy with the iPhone. If not then it wasn't. But it sounds as if you already did it so if you find you don't like it, you're stuck with it.

Good luck.

I traded my Note 3 for a 64gb iPhone 5 plus the person added $340 was that a good deal??

If you're happy with the iPhone then yes. You got the phone you wanted, plus $340. Enough to buy another phone (like a Nexus 5 or Moto X) if you wanted to

Not sure which Note 3 you have, but I have seen the note 3 factory sim unlocked brand new for $470, so getting $340 plus the 5s 64gb (which retails for $850) seems like a great deal.

He said 5, not 5S. Which would be about hundred less if it was still being sold by major carriers

I would make that deal. Then I would sell the iPhone 5 and buy another Note 3. Actually the $100 or so that I would make in the deal wouldn't really be worth the trouble to me. So in retrospect I probably wouldn't do the deal.

I say this as someone who carries the Note 3 as my personal device and have an iPhone 5 issued to me for work. I avoid using my iPhone as much as I possibly can. The screen is too small, I hate the keyboard and I have to turn the dumb sideways to read anything on it.

+ 1 exactly.

Do you plan on sticking with the iPhone or trade it and get a new phone?

Sorry I misread. Either way, still a good deal.

As deals go, it was certainly a good one but I personally wouldn't give up my Note 3 for ANY iPhone (resale value or not) !

Who ever gave you an iPhone 5 plus $340 is the least intelligent person on the planet.

Actually, I want his number. I have a few things I can sell him.

Lol he really wanted a note 3 and it was a 64 gb also. I like iPhones but I never had the LG G2 so that's why I traded it for this so I could try it

I think that was a good deal as you were able to pocket $340 and flip the iPhone for the g2. I prefer the Note 3 to the g2 but $340 and a G2 certainly isn't bad at all.

Agreed. He might even be able to find someone who wants to trade their Note 3 for a G2 :p
