Note 3 S Note import PDF crash

Hello all,

I have a rooted Note 3 (MI7). Is the PDF crash fixed in a future update? Is it possible to upgrade with root? Do I risk tripping knox?

First, welcome!

Regarding updating.... You should unroot, then update, then root again. Trying to update while rooted is asking for trouble, usually major trouble.

Not sure I understand or am aware of PDF crash?

Hello TheMacs,

Issue with unrooting then updating is if I were to root again I would trip KNOX and therefore void the warranty.

Specifically during a PDF import. Here is a relevant article: SNote crashes everytime when I try to import pdf file. - xda-developers
Searching s note pdf import crash reveals many threads with the same issue, still no confirmed success, at least as far as I have found.

I have also found I can import smaller PDFs while it crashes on larger files/ more pages.
