Google services keeps using my battery during the night

for some reason the past two nights it has used over 12% of my battery while i'm asleep and not sure why. It hasn't killed my battery or anything as I have only lost 7% battery over a 6 hour period but I don't get why it is happening. As once I wake up and use the phone during the day the % comes down. Just wondered whats causing it.

Over the past few days i have also noticed the same with my Nexus 5. It got really bad on Saturday, it was loosing percentages left right and centre! I always monitor my battery and it was Google Services that was draining it. I dont remember installing an update or anything like.
