hi,

I am missing the quick access camera icon in the lock screen. It was there right after the update to 4.4.2 but then I had to do two factory resets due to random reboots and the 2nd was because of the S-Pen no longer working. Now the phone works but the camera icon in the lower right corner is gone. Any ideas except a factory reset

Re: No quick access to camera

There is no such option like "Shortcut" in "Lock Screen"

I was going to say along the same lines as G3, though I just have to go to settings > lockscreen to get to the shortcut options. I have the shortcut option under lockscreen ..included a screenshot to show.

Re: No quick access to camera

As was previously mentioned you should be able to change it here by going into settings> device> lockscreen> shortcuts> Camera.

Ok what you need to do is to turn the multiple widgets option on then click on it.
Then click on favourite apps or camera and select camera.

Then you can have the camera on your lock screen.

I have the same menu options as you OP.

That's strange, though I have read that people who are in Australia (I think that's where it was...it was a post last yr some time in here where they) were not given that option with their phone.

My only other thing was to make sure you have the swipe lockscreen enabled ...but I see from your screenshot that you do. Maybe try changing it to a pin or pattern then back to the swipe and see if anything changes.

If not, I'm sure others in here who are much more helpful can give you some advice/ideas. I hope you get it sorted out!

Sarks.

I'm on Verizon and I don't see both of those options at all. So, can't set shortcuts on lockscren.

I'm on Verizon also, do you have your lockscreen set to use a pin or pattern? I've saw from previous posts that it needs to be on a swipe to unlock screen for shortcuts to be used.

Yes, this is not an option if you use pin or whatever. This is what I see for pinuploadfromtaptalk1393678917625.jpg

Re: No quick access to camera

This is what I see when set to swipe. When set to swipe I have the option for shortcuts and to swipe right for camera.

Speaking of this topic, I have the shortcuts on my lock screen as well. When I push on them it wants me to swipe....Therefore taking me to my home screen. So what's the point of them? I want to be able to press the camera or text etc....but doesn't work.
