Hi, does anybody know if there is a way to use the text to speech ability without putting all the accessibility functions on? I'd like to try listening some Google Play books but is it possible or feasible?

I would say yes if you want it to read a normal book.. Otherwise you'd have to nab a audio book version of the book you want to read / listen to.

Is it possible to activate the read aloud in play books without activating the talk back from settings (which also activated other unneeded accessibility features)?

Ah turns out that read aloud just isn't available for all books...
