Default SanDisk 128 gb micro SD anyone?

Has anyone bought this for their note 3? If so any thoughts?

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00IIJ...0-20&m1k=vb_ac

I currently have a 64 gb micro SD card in my Note 3, but extra storage would always be welcomed

A good counter question is can the Note 3 use a 128?

Yes I guess that's my original question. Can our note 3 use this 128 gb monster?

According to wiki, 64 is the maximum compatibility.

Which was the maximum at the time it was released, so to play it safe, they only listed what they tested. But there is a good chance that recent phones will support it even if it isn't in the spec.

Do u guys think these SD cards get unstable the bigger they get? Or is that bs? I'd hate to get this thing and have it **** the bed after 3 months...like my 64gb did.

Buy it from Amazon. If it messes up Amazon will give you a refund or replacement.

I thought you successfully bought and proved this in a recent thread.

Correct, my thread is linked to above. That was just a general comment. Sometimes things can get finicky for different phones for some reason, especially with sd cards. I don't want to give a blanket statement saying it would work on such and such a phone without actually testing it.

However most devices in use today should be compatible

I'll try some 4K video recording to the device a little later. I'm curious to see how well it can take that sort of data throughput.

Thanks for the confirmation. My 64 gb card still has some space but it's good to know I can get the 128 gb when I need it

It worked for me. 4k on the note 3 is around 6MB/s, and a class 10 should have 10MB/s. In my testing (screen shots in the thread linked to above), lowest I saw was 9.3MB/s

What were the temperatures like? I was mostly curious to see how hot the device would get with extended 4K recording. I figured the speed would be decent enough, given that I've recorded 4K on a 32 GB device before (I believe it was Class 10).

the n3 has no problem with that amount of storage, I've been using a micro sd to sd card adapter with a 128gb sd card. Works great, and when the price of 256gb cards go down ($500!) I;ll be using one of those.

How does that work? Did you mean an OTG adapter with an external full SD reader. I'm being dense.

I used the stock camera app and made (3) 5 minute 4k clips. Temperature went up to 107 and I suspect would rise if used longer. Also this was indoors with moderate brightness, full brightness would increase temperature

    Cripey!
Never seen such a thing. So that fits inside huh.
That's a good alternative if there's no downside.
It's about $7 delivered to UK here, and the full SD Sandisk Extreme SDXC UHS-1 45mb/s is currently 82.38 reduced from 132.99 on Amazon UK.
I don't need that much storage though right now.

I have the SanDisk 64gb, but I'm sooooo tempted to get the 128gb. Not sure if I need that much storage space though, I still have approx 25gb left on my 64gb. From what I've read on the forums the Note3 can handle the 128gb, but maybe a call to Samsung might verify this more accuratly

on my note 2 and s4 I used to just cut a small slit in the backplate and run the adapter through, and then cover with a generic tpu case.

But I've gotten a little paranoid about it breaking when I got my note 3, so now I use an extended battery cover (sans extended batterry) so the sd card is better protected. Works great

I know the ebay cheapie SD cards often have a bad rep here, but I'm seeing a ton of 128 / class 10 over there rather cheap. $59

Has anyone tried stuff like this:

New 128GB Class 10 microSDHC TF Memory Card MicroSD Free Shipping USA Seller | eBay

I wouldn't take the risk. Too many fakes out there. They might actually be smaller sized cards modified to look larger.
