I want to use the S note checklist as a grocery list. When I save my left I can't seem to find how to check of an item. Please advise.

Have you tried the black pencil edit icon that comes on briefly upper right. It will come back if you touch. I have not used it much yet. You may mean something else. You need to save the original with the tick. The large widget makes it quicker to access. I will start to use it more now I replaced a nib that was off line.

Re: S note help please!

The pen icon is to edit the note. I need to know how to tick/check the box.

Re: S note help please!

I actually thought using edit was the only way to check off the boxes. Which is a pain. I'd love it if there is an easier way!

Re: S note help please!

Open Action Memo. Start writing your items. When you get to the bottom of the page tap the lasso. This brings up link to action. Select task....the last option to the right. The items you wrote should now be in the form of a check list.

Re: S note help please!

I seem to have it working ok. Are you using the S-Pen. Probably something simple. I tick the box with a handwritten tick. I was able to untick once by holding the tick box, otherwise I can use the eraser in the top row.
To post a screenshot you need either the Tapatalk app or the Tapatalk based AC Forums app, not the AC app, which I normally use.

Re: S note help please!

Sort of off-topic but have you tried just using Our Groceries? That one is so easy/simple/lightweight it's practically amazing.

That's a handy alternative. In fact better for me.
I think the OP wanted to use the Check List template in S-Note, but I don't know why it's not 'ticking' for them.

Actually I got it now. Hold the pen on the box and a blue border and three options appear. Phew!

"What are people actually using the S Pen for? "
The thread posters here a few days ago could have helped you more, but it's Saturday. They're out shopping. :)

Do you have to have some setting enabled to have this work? When I hold my pen over my checklist boxes and I get nada! I tried clicking on the box, hovering over etc and I don't get that blue outline and option you show. My only choice is to tick the boxed myself.

If I switch to text input I get a blue box to write my items in but not one for the little box on the side.

Just wondered if I have something set differently :)

Cheers!

Re: S note help please!

Google keep is a wonderful app. Much easier to use than S-note.

Don't know if there's a setting I'm missing. You have to keep mild pressure on the box with the page open. Maybe hold vertical /90 degrees. My nib moves back in a little.

You found the writing window. It and the tickboxes can be moved around, +window enlarged etc.

Try it again? Maybe a hammer on top :)

Re: S note help please!

Lots of good tips here.

That said, what difference is there between a handwritten tick and the three options method?

The goal is to check stuff off on the list. Does the handwritten method produce a less desirable or functional check mark?

Sometimes with my scribbling (or vice versa, my fianc?'s) it's hard to tell what is a ticked box or what is a score through (didn't get/didn't find) so having the other option would be handy. I cannot seem to find it on my phone! (Even with Madd's instructions/help - thank you btw :) ).

I think there was an update to S-Note version 3.1.0, like mine.
I have since updated to KitKat.

Press vertically on the box and hold for over a second. It must be there. I'm stumped.

I don't use it so why an electronic check is better than a tick? Maybe it transfers better. Otherwise it's just a notepad.

S-Note version 3.1.0 on KitKat. I changed my nib 2 days ago, very easy. Press vertically and hold for over a second. It must be there. I'm stumped.

Maybe KitKat is the answer - I'm still on JB. Either that or I'm just a **** hahaha

Oh well!
