    Default Damaged SD card?

Just did a wipe cache partition and reboot. No Factory Data reseta anything. Once phone turned back on I have a notification that says "Damaged SD card" Try reformatting Sd card. Don't want to do anything else until I get some suggestions.

So far I don't see any pictures I previously had on the sd card from the gallery. Currently on Kit Kat.

I would unmount the card form the phone, and put it in your PC, and see if you can read it. If you can, pull all the files you want to save and then reinsert the card into the phone to reformat.

There are micro SD card adapters that are very common. Put the micro card into the adapter, which looks just like a full sized SD card. Then you can put that into your computer.

The card just may be showing it's age.

Yup! Unfortunately, SD cards can fail without warning, especially after that amount of time.
