Default Do any of you encrypt your Notes?

If so, does it take longer to boot up & save camera movies/images etc or is there no notable difference?

Default Re: Do any of you encrypt your Notes?

I have the phone encrypted (the nature of my work). boot time is a bit longer (you have to enter your password before it boots) and then again to gain access to the phone (and then again every time it locks). for about 30 seconds after it boots, it is noticeably slower, but once everything is up and running, I don't notice any performance issues. The SD card is read via the encryption keys and once that is compete (again in that first 30 seconds) it then feels like an unencrypted SD card.

My Note 10.1 was way too underpowered with encryption, the Nexus 7 is a bit slow at start up, but works fine after that. I did a factory reset on the 10.1 (2012) and gifted it to the daughter of a co-worker, and got a 10.1 (2014) it works great with encryption.
