S voice issue in car

Love using S voice when I drive however as soon as I plug the car charger in phone will not wake up with "Hi Galaxy" until I disconnect the charger. Is this normal?

Update... Phone will not wake up using Hi Galaxy while on charger. However, phone will wake up to Google Now via Ok Google while on charger. However, phone won't wakeup to Ok Google when off the charger but will wake up to Hi Galaxy when off charger. My head hurts...
