Chrome not saving images

Hi . I have a Note 3 and Chrome installed and long pressing an image would give me the option to save image ,copy url etc . Now if i long press an image a pop up opens asking me what i want to open it with , camera,pdf,video or voice recorder. I have cleared the cache but it still goes back to the pop up. The stock Samsung browser works fine . any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central! Is Chrome up to date? Check your App Manager--is Download Manager disabled? Also in App Manager, tap Menu and try Reset All App Preferences, which will clear all app defaults (and it will also re-enable any disabled apps).

At this moment, Chrome on your phone should be version 38.0.2125.102. I just checked with mine, and a long press on a random image from a random news article from news.google.com brought up the correct submenu.
