Why is my Note 3's 20 storage inaccessible for 32gb version running android 4.4.2?

Note 3's 20 storage inaccessible for 32gb version running android 4.4.2

Hi, I just bought a brand new Note 3, SM-9005 Model. It has 32GB storage capacity and 3GB of RAM. But I can only access 12GB of the space.
There is a dialogue "The minimum amount of storage space required to run the system 20GB" :O

I'm using Kitkat(4.4.2), how much space is required to run Kitkat? Anybody has any idea? Please help me guys.

Can you post a screen shot (power+home) of the storage-related screen in settings?

Something sure is taking up a lot of space. ...and I doubt it is all apps. Let's try this to begin, let's clear the cache.

1. Turn the power off
2. Press and hold volume up+power+home until you feel the phone vibrate. Once it vibrates release the home and power keys but continue to press the volume-up key
3. You should now be in the Recovery menu and can release the volume-up key
4. Select 'wipe cache' using the volume keys to move up and down and the power key to select
5. Select 'Reboot' when done.

Also try Low on Space? Dump logcat. (Logcat uses system space, and it's only needed if you're debugging something.)

Mines also 6.03 for the system. I'd back up and do a wipe. That's some serious os baggage.

Cleared cache. Wiped everything I also have random messages pop up about charging when nothing is charging

Maybe @Rukbat meant this thread also. It was a real eye-opener so I saved it.

Try *#9900# on your phone. If it's not carrier locked I think it's the 2nd option, but please check the thread and with @Rukbat.
