Galaxy Note 3 Gallery problem, how can I get it to go back to the date taken and not the file name?

Galaxy Note 3 Gallery problem

i just reset my Note 3 on Lollipop so I backed up my pictures, when I put them back on the phone, well they were in some stupid order, there's no way to change the order in gallery. I looked around for apps, there's Quickpic but I want to stick with the stock gallery app. So what do i have to do to make it go back to date taken not the file name? Thanks

They're stored by last modified date. Putting them back on the phone made that date the last modified date. You might be able to find an app that changes the last modified date to the EXIF date - that will put them in date order or the date they were taken.
