Dropped Note 3, now completely dead, is it possible to retrieve files?

So I dropped my Note 3 the other day and now it is just dead, won't power on even when plugged in. Any idea what might have broken to cause this? I would like to retrieve my photos from the device, is there any chance this is possible? I don't need the actual phone itself anymore so having someone completely take it apart wouldn't be an issue. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! Did you have an SD card inserted, and were any photos saved there?

If you take it to a repair shop, you could ask them to check the battery connections to see if they're loose. Or possibly replace the battery. But if the problem is the motherboard itself, then it would probably be much harder to recover the data -- you'd probably have to look into a forensic data recovery specialist, which would cost quite a bit.
