I was watching Phil's hands on video and he mentioned that the note 4 will support up to 64gb sd card. Seems odd, as my note 3 and many older phones can use 128gb. I don't see any reason why a 128gb won't work, but I will take Phil's word on it.

They will allow 128GB just like the Note 3 does. TBH unless you're an audiophile 128GB are overpriced and for the Value 64GB Samsung pro Micro SD card is much better option since you get faster read and write speeds for around $60 if you can find it on amazon and Bestbuy will price match it

But the difference is that the 128gb microSDXC came out after the note 3 release.

I used the 128GB microSDXC on my Note 3 in the past with no issue and use it on my GN 10.1 2014 Edition so no worries.

I don't think Samsung makes a 128gb card yet. So until they do, perhaps they want you to consider maxing out with their biggest 64gb card.

As I said before the Samsung Pro 64GB Micro SD card is superior to the San Disk 128GB micro SD card in every way but Space capacity. Better Read and write speeds and better made then San Disk imo. My 64GB San disk ultra had to be replaced twice under the lifetime warranty which i dont think the 128gb has.

Even the Evo is better

Newer based to amazon

San Disk 48mb read/write
Samsung Evo: 48MB read and write but you can buy 2 for half the price
Samsung pro: 90MB read and 50 MB write.

Samsung pro: $59.99
Samsung Evo: $29.99
San Disk 128GB: $120

I agree with the above posts. The note 3 says it only supports up to 64 gb microSD cards but I've been using a 128 gb card in my Note 3 without any issues.

I plan on using the same 128gb card when I get the Note 4

I hope it supports 128GB. I have a 64GB in my S5 and I only have 3GB free. I was thinking of getting a 128GB card as I need the space.

LOL, just because you find out 128gb works on the note 3 when it's showing supported doesnt guarantee it's gotta work too with the note 4 because they say the same thing. 128gb cards have been out a while so you'd think they'd be happy to test and say it supports the largest possible. Don't see any reason why it wouldn't but they did axe usb 3.0 from note 3 so who knows if they put a 'rev limiter' on the sd limit. we'll see soon.

Whoa. You must have tons of music or pictures on your phone.
Nah only way music or photos will take that much space is if pictures aren't jpeg which the phone does convert them to I believe and uncompressed music files like Flac. Video takes a big chunk. I think I have taken 14-20 on my SD with Google movies loved on here with vudu

Although 100 bucks is a lot for 128gb expansion, keep in mind that would probably be a 300 dollar premium if it were the iphone. Some android phones don't even have the option.

Still. .... Samsung 64GB pro is a much better value , Speed and durability from my experience for a phone that you can't save apps on

People who are looking at 128gb microSDXC are looking for more storage. Speed wise, internal will be faster or if 64gb works then there are other options.
