Clarity on the "Extra" $50.00 Store Credit for Note 4.

I've read some posts here regarding the extra $50.00 store credit / gift card when you purchase the Note 4. This is in conjunction with the $200.00 Trade in for a working smartphone.

I just preordered my Note 4 yesterday with Verizon and the Best Buy Rep rang me out for $50.00 and then proceeded to give me a $50.00 gift card. I asked why this is necessary and he told me it was solely for the purpose of securing my preorder. I then have the option of using that gift card towards the purchase of the Note 4 plus my $200.00 credit. In essence, I'm not getting an extra $50.00 because I already paid the $50.00 in cash.

Has anyone experienced this? If so, I think people are a little confused in thinking that it's extra on top of the $200.00

Thoughts?

The extra $50 is aside from, and has nothing to do with the "deposit" you are talking about. The extra $50 is for being a BB rewards member. However your trade-in would have to be worth more than $0 to get that.

Exactly. When I got mine I mentioned the additional $50 gift card and they allowed me to do it. So i had two $50 gift cards (one from pre order and one from promo) plus the $200 card. So even tho I had already put $50 down I walked out only paying $19.62 out of pocket.

The extra $50 promo for best buy reward members has already expired. It was in last weeks ad good thru 10/18. Unfortunately the same promo is not listed in this weeks ad

Yup, screw the VZ people. I went in and they told me it would not apply in addition to the $200 so I couldn't push for a"rain check". Planned on bringing in the receipt from the post of those that got it, but it is no longer valid so no go.

I was actually able to get the extra $50!

So did I.... here how it happened. My trade in was my note 2 that I bought almost 2 years ago. At the time I also signed up for Geek Squad insurance. Apparently there was a deal at the time for a guaranteed $50 extra trade in. This was able to be stacked on the $200 so I got a gift card for $250. SWEET!
