I just looked at my My Verizon and noticed that my phone is still using mobile data even though I'm connected to wifi. Anyone else having this issue?

It shouldn't be. The My Verizon app can be delayed in updating so you could be using mobile data .. get home .. get on wifi and use some data but then see that mobile data reflected an hour later.

Sometimes on my previous Samsung devices this happened, the 4g LTE icon stayed white even when on WiFi. Try rebooting and removing/reading the WiFi network

Mine looks just like yours, still using 4g LTE (the letters turn white) even though it should be using only WiFi, especially when updating apps. No download booster turned on. I'm glad you asked about this, because I've been wondering the same thing.

When my AT&T N4 is on my home Wifi the 4G/LTE symbol is not present in the task bar and my mobile data is turned off. I don't know if that varies by carrier.

So someone mentioned in another post about the app "Caller ID" that messes with the signal. I disabled it and now my 4G LTE is grayed out. Should be using WiFi now!

I'm on Verizon and I can turn everything off but my 4G is always lit up and you can see the arrows lighting up and down.

I've been having to is problem also. I mentioned it in another thread. I took the phone into Best Buy Samsung Experience and they re-download the software onto my phone. It didn't help. I am going to factory reset it tomorrow. If that doesn't work, I'll exchange it at Best Buy.

I think this is just how it works and it is not using Mobile data. I believe the arrows signify which source is actually being used for data transfers. On my N2 however, it would swap between the WiFi icon and 4gLTE icon depending on which source was being used.

Your 4g arrows aren't lit up and the 4gLTE icon is greyed out signifying that its using WiFi and not your mobile data.

Yea but "just how it works" does not explain the guy who has been home all day thinking he was on Wi-fi and blowing through 1.5 GB of data while he was at it. I think I will shut mobile data off completely while at home just to make sure.
