Messages App in-conversation tones?

I canʻt seem to find a setting for Message App conversation send / receive tones. Anyone have an idea?

When I am in a SMS conversation there is no notification that a new message has been received. Outside of the Messages App Notifications work fine. Just in a conversation.

I know on S5 and Note 3 devices this is not a problem.

Can't offer an answer as I wondered the same thing. I'm assuming their logic is that if your screen is on and you're looking at the conversation, we would see the message.
