I noticed there was some weird app on my phone that I can delete and says: This App was not installed by Google play Store. Do you want to uninstall it. The app is Cookie Jam. Is this some app Verizon added or something?

Yes, it's a bloat game that Verizon puts on the Note 4. There is also another game installed on the phone but I can't remember it's name.
