Can't move files to SD card?

I'm wondering if this isn't possible or if I'm just doing it wrong: I've tried moving files from my phone to my SD card and it just won't copy. I haven't been able to do this with any file manager app I've found or whenever I connect it and open it in a computer.

I'm not taking about moving apps or saving directly to my SD card, but moving files like music and picture from my phone storage to my SD storage.

Thanks! I tried that app a bunch of times previously and it didn't work, and neither did the two other file manager apps I downloaded. For some reason I tried it again after seeing your post and it worked! Weird.

I am having the same problem as the originator of this thread. I tried using the stock "My Files" app multiple times to move files, but it just doesn't want too. I want to also say that I am not very "tech" smart... so I appreciate any help I receive that is simple and clear to understand and do.
