Re: using an hdmi adaptor

Did you also get the 5 pin to 11 pin adapter? That's needed for Samsung phones.

This is the adaptor I have. If this is the wrong kind can you tell me where to find an inexpensive one that will work

Re: using an hdmi adaptor

A Chromecast and the Allcast app will do the same job most of the time. Also a lot of TV's have DLNA, though often called something else, but the phone will play video to it if it is enabled.

As long as the TV is Not too old there are options.

MAY THE 4 BE WITH YOU!

Re: using an hdmi adaptor

So the first cable you posted should work with a Vizio tv right?

Re: using an hdmi adaptor

You need both cables if you have a Samsung phone. It'll work with any TV with an HDMI plug.

Re: using an hdmi adaptor

Make sure to plug the usb or micro usb for power at same time cause it won't work if you only plug hdmi

Yea, many of them, the full sized USB has to be plugged into a powered USB for the thing to work. And with the Galaxy you need the 11 to 5 pin adapter mentioned earlier.

Re: using an hdmi adaptor

Who do you guys recommend for a good MHL 2.0 with RCP for Note 4? I found one on cablecables but not sure if it's any good. Thanks for the help

I decided to buy a chromecast and I love it. Don't have to have my phone plugged in and it works great!

The problem with Chromecast....Allcast...type solution is that you have to have an internet connection.
The way they actually work is to direct the Server they are receiving their stream from to sent the identical stream to whatever device you want to "cast" to.... It is not actually being sent from your device.
MHL does send directly from your device via the MHL to HDMI dongle.
If you are only able to get cellular connection (not internet), you'll need the MHL dongle to put/cast your display onto the Tv.
