Chrome finish on S Pen wearing already

Might have to buy a new S Pen in a few months. Look at the attached picture. It's wearing on the area I grab to get it out of the phone. It's near the top groove and it's easy to see with a little zoom.

Am I the only one? If so, when is the backorder on S Pens going to lift? I'd like to replace it because its an eye sore

I couldn't see where it's wearing but I wonder, how many times a day, on average, do you pull the pen out. I had my Note 3 for 6 months before I got my Note 4 on Christmas Eve and never noticed any wear. I imagine that the 2 different pens are produced with the same method.

It's good you don't want to buy another Note 4, swap the S Pen and then return the phone. ...because you'd end up with a brand new S Pen and that'd be bad. Right?

Well here is some good news if you get a new S-Pen, the new ones don't smell like poo.

I bought a note 4 when it was first released and indeed, the S-Pen smelt awful. I had to return then and 2 weeks ago I picked up the note 4 again and this S-Pen has no awful smell to it. Samsung must have been scanning the forums....haha.
