I just recently had an issue where people cannot hear me during calls and cannot use voice commands. But when I record video it captures sound fine. Is there a setting that unnute the mic?

During calls the mic is not muted and the phone doesn't recognize my voice using voice commands.

I think you may have a case that is covering the microphone hole. It is on the bottom to the left of the charging port. AT&T especially moved their Mircophone position to the left of where others are. Some cases use an elongated hole to accommodate all models but not all have done this yet.
Here is a picture from a case mfgr.
The microphones for recording audio are 4, two top and two bottom that would explain why you are getting that.
