How to get my messages from Priority senders and calls from Favorites read aloud.

I set up my Priority messages senders and Favorite contacts, correctly.

I then went to Language and Input - Read notifications aloud - and set it for Calls from Fav contacts (read info aloud) and Messages From priority senders.

It worked for a while, and was really neat, but for some reason not doesn't work any more. I fiddled with some of the other controls, and wonder if something is over riding this setting.

It still works as far as reading Alarm info and Calender Event Info.

Any ideas as to how I can get back the ability to Read my message notification and call notification from priority senders and favorites?

Well, thanks anyway, it seemed to be solved. I went in and piddled some more with it last night, and something I did seemed to fix it. This morning I got the voice notification for a call.
