The left bottom button is a recent apps button in Note 4. Where is the menu button? How do you access the menu? The previous samsung phones all had a menu button, why did the remove that?

Is there a way to change the recent apps button to a menu button? (just like the buttons of Samsung S4)

There is no physical or capacitive menu button on the Note 4. You have to rely on the menu button that is within the app itself. Samsung did it to improve the user experience, though I disagree with them on this.

If you hold the recent apps button it serves as the menu button. Try it.

Both of these are true. The apps should have an icon of 3 vertical dots usually on the top right or thereabouts. That's the settings/menu button but you can also hold the recent apps button down as well.
