Note 4 Verizon Developer Edition APN

I purchased a Developers Edition thinking I would have the ability to edit the APN settings on the Note 4. The Verizon version doesn't allow editing and apparently neither does the Developers Edition!! I use a local regional carrier and everything works except MMS. I have the APN setting.

Ok, but it's not mandatory right? I mean, couldn't I just flip in my Note 3 Sim?

Re: Note 4 Verizon Developer Edition APN

Default

I put in a Tmobile SIM and was able to add a new APN. When I put the other carrier's SIM back in (Bluegrass Cellular) the new APN setting was removed. This is the Develpor Edition and I have Root, but I don't know what I need to do to edit. I am extremely comfortable working with PC's, operating systems, etc. but I would be new to installing a custom ROM - is that the only answer?

Apparently Bluegrass Cellular uses Verizon for their roaming.
