Has anyone else seen their phone overheating in safe mode?

hot overheating safe mode melted

i plugged in my note 4 in my car with my Verizon charger, within 3 min i smelt something burning, i picked up my phone burnt my hand and relized my phone was in overheating safty mode :( now tge port is melted and it wont charge. anyone else seen this happen?

I have not heard of this before. Have you contacted Verizon?

I hope you're ok. I would definitely contact Verizon for a replacement immediately. Hopefully, this didn't happen while you were driving, or it could have been much worse.

Were you using an OEM/high quality charger or cheap Ebay one???

I just assumed OP was using a quality charger, since his/her post stated "Verizon charger". IDK though.

Ah, totally missed that. Definitely need to get in touch with Verizon then!
