No LED flash available on Samsung Galaxy Tab4 10.1?

Had to replace my Galaxy Note after a mysterious but fatal crash. Replaced it w the Tab4, 10.1 too. This device seems to miss a built in flash, so my various cam apps cannot make flash pics and the flashlight app only makes the screen bright.
I can hardly believe this is true. Is It?
If so, what is the (stupid?) philosophy behind it? It is for sure not a cheap basic device. Or does progress come with deterioration nowadays?

Nope, no flash. There actually aren't many tablets that have a camera flash. I think the rationale may be that people are more likely to carry their phones around to take photos, rather than their tablet. Keep in mind as well that the Tab 4 is in fact Samsung's entry-level tablet, so they did what they could to cut costs. It lacks other features seen in more expensive tablets as well, like MHL compatibility (which allows you to hook it up to an HDTV via a cable).
