Recent slow down

I've been noticing the last few weeks my Note getting lagged and generally more cumbersome to use. Best suggestions to get back that snappy experience I had when I got the phone?

Have you tried to clear cache in the bootloader as well as app cache?

Clearing app cache

Settings - storage. Tap on the cache to clear.

Clearing cache in the bootloader.

-turn phone off.
-simultaneously press power, volume up, and home button until you see text on the screen, then let go.
-use the volume key to select clear cache, and then press the power key.

-press the power key again to restart the phone
