Volume button sticking - potential water damage

So yesterday there was wet, heavy snow and during a walk my phone got wet. Since then the volume button has been sticking. If I hit volume up it'll go to max volume automatically, and if I try to lower the volume it'll end up being silenced. It's pretty damn annoying at this point. When I got the phone it would sometimes do this, but it's since subsided.

So I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and if so what did you do?

Read Oh, no! My Phone got Wet!. If it's just the button, it's plastic, so a little alcohol bath and there won't be any damage. If it's the switch, you might need a new assembly. (Sandwich bags are cheap.)
