I received a notice this morning that TMO had a software update available. I went through the process of updating, including installation. However, after the process, I received a message that the installation failed. I'm sure it's the 5.1.1 update since it was 143MB. I have no idea what happened. My phone shows it's still on 5.0.1. When I tried to go back to system updates, it tells me it's up to date. Did anyone else receive the update notice today? If so, did you have any problems with the update?

Its just for "Stagefright", we still on 5.0.1 unfortunately, I don't know if its Samsung's (maybe "Touchwiz" and/or bloatware) fault or TMobile's but between the two of them are delaying the Android updates too f****ing much, seriously considering switching phones.

The fact that TMO, AT&T and Verizon have all elected to push stage fright patches now indicate that they're a ways off from releasing 5.1.1. Sprint released SF patch with the 5.1.1 patch last week (or the week before...I can't remember now)
