Avast blocking public wifi on my N4.

Anyone else noticed this. I am in UK, all of a sudden my n4 couldn't connect to public wifi. (the cloud, o2,BT)This was bugging me. Tried everything.. Yesterday I deleted Avast, downloaded AVG ( again) hey presto, all fixed. Why Why Why?

First of all, why are you using Antivirus? Honestly I don't think phones should be using any Antivirus. Also they can be battery hogs too. Try using without the Antivirus and see if it fixes the problem.

I use an AV because I download a lot from Aptoide. It's saved me twice. It is fixed now, no problem with AVG.

JMO, but Avast is THE worst. Had it and got rid of it.

Indeed, it only blocks stuff you use and slows down the performance on the phone.

He also looks at torrents and other files as "virus"

Personally I don't use any Anti Virus, but then again I'm an experienced and careful user on browsing the web/downloading
