Why is my Mac and Android synced?

Hi! I'm new here.

So earlier today I was on my Mac safari browser searching something on Google. Right now I searched for the same thing on my Android phone (note 4) on the chrome browser and when I started to type, the drop down had my previous search.

I'm confused. How can I un-sync the Mac and my phone?

You're logged into your Google account on both. If you don't want them to sync, there are two options. 1. Log out of the Google account on one or both devices for the Chrome app. 2. Go into your Chrome app and select settings, then click on your google account and then on 'sync' and uncheck either everything or whatever you don't want synced on the Android device.
