Mute an ongoing cal when the screen is off ?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had a solution to this or whether I've missed something obvious?

I seem to spend half my working like on conference calls. During the calls I need to go on mute to minimize background noise for the other participants.However unless I keep the Note 4 display permanently on I have to constantly activate/deactivate the screen so I can toggle the mute button !

Is there a simpler way to do this?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you using a Bluetooth headset? Those usually have a mute button.

Hi - I use either the Note 4 speaker of the Note 4 or wired headphones (the latter does not have mute function/button)

I know this isn't a direct solution, but a Bluetooth headset would be helpful in this regard.
