So, I recently have problems with my GPS not working. The location icon on top will always be flashing. It cannot determine where I am at. I have already done the GPS calibration by typing in *#0#* on the dial screen, sensor, and the compass is showing BLUE with a number 3. I've use other apps, waze and google maps and still same results. Would this be a hardware issue? My signal is full bars and getting 4G LTE. Any inputs from anyone with a T-Mobile Note 4 would be appreciated. Thanks

So many Note 4 GPS stopped working postings leads me to be leave hardware issues present. With past Samsung devices Note 2 , 3 etc gps contacts loose touch with gps antenna over time thus exchange or disassemble fix is needed.Direction can be found on youtube pretty simple fix really much better then referb swaps that dont address issue.

A little follow up to my previous post ,
So many bad GPS postings steered me away from Note 4 purchase for some time up to a couple days ago.
I accepted hardware issue being present & made buy with lots of disassemble DIY bookmarked for future use.
After reply to your post I looked further into issue coming to the conclusion that SD card slot & or power button pushs more then likely culprit moving board GPS contact from back housing.

So the temporary quick fix would be getting board movement around contact area.
That can be done by removing / inserting SD card or some hard press to power button.

Anyway hope it helps.

Vibration motor is right blow gps contact point , that could be causing issue from get go.
That would also explain those doing clear catch , install new roms etc reboot finding their gps works again.....for a little while at least until next vibration alerts

GPS contact point circled in red , Vibration hardware black circle right below

Well mine is less then month old worked flawless till today lol
A couple days of Note 4 in front jeans pocket putting stress on frame made the magic happen.

With GPS Test app enabled I Took back cover off , applied minor pressure on antenna area & bingo lock achieved 15 of 18 in use
Releasing pressure provided 0 of 18 lock lost.

Shame on Samsung for such pathetic assembly!!

The temp temp fix was backing out a couple screws in antenna area then giving them good tighten.
I will do take apart in coming days making true fix.

UPDATE:
Well the temp temp fix used has made GPS lock faster & stronger then ever.
Testing inside my home provides 10 feet accuracy within 15 seconds using GPS Test app
Signal stays firm much less transponder drop.

This fix wont last long contact points will weaken again :(

Once again SHAME ON SAMSUNG!

Thank you!!!
I had this problem more than a year. I googled many times and I tried factory reset, firmware update, remove SD card, clear cache and nothing worked. After reading your solution a I dropped my T-Mo Note4 from 1 feet and GPS started to work. GPS now works INDOOR near a windows. I will buy tools to open my phone.

Thank you!!!

Right on.
I haven't opened mine up yet tighten screw temp fix is holding so far.
Ive been walking on eggshells not flexing device , no pocket carry etc thus keeping gps board contact sure to gps antenna....pretty sad really.
Ive been prepping for disassemble hopefully it wont be needed anytime soon., pulling apart glue makes me a little nervous.
