Are you saying that factory resets should be avoided?Yea factory reset is a must after any update on an android device. I phones aren't immune either. A factory reset is aren't fix all just like a windows install

Ummm, when you say "...wiped the cache", exactly which did you wipe; per-app-cache or the device's cache (how do you access device cache)? Is rooting required for device cache wiping? So far I can't tell any difference after the update. I didn't do a factory reset but simply wiped the cache.
Lol no. I should have looked at what I was typing. That's awful of me, lol. Factory resets are a must! Are you saying that factory resets should be avoided?
Since I upgraded to 5.1.1 a couple days ago and the phone has settled into itself for awhile, I tested my battery longevity overnight and continuing into the day today. I had the screen off overnight, but when I got up, I forced the screen to stay on until the end of the test. During the course of the test, I used the phone as I normally would - took a couple of calls, did some texting, sent and received some mail, and played some Euchre. Not real heavy usage, but it was just about average for me. I'm pretty happy with these results because I normally wouldn't force the screen to stay on all day, so I expect to get MUCH longer battery life under normal usage.
