Charging message

Yesterday I began receiving the message that my Note 4 would charge faster if I used the cable and charger that came with it. I use it every evening? Could this be an indicator that like many others I may need to replace the battery soon? Otherwise, I have no issues with the battery.

Hmmm, hard to say, but I wouldn't think it would be a battery problem. I would think it might be the charger or the cable... or could be the phone itself, maybe the charging port? The phone wants/requires a certain amount of voltage/current, especially if in fast charge mode, but if the charger cannot supply the voltage/current then the phone might throw up that message. Do you have another fast charger you can try, or maybe plug your charger/cable into another phone, preferably another Note 4, to see if the message still shows up?

Found the problem - the cable wasn't plugged all the way into the charger. Duh!
