since the MM update cache issue

I want to clear cache on phone. But it comes up warning about installing an OS.
Not app cache. Phone partition cache. No longer exists. Thought it would help battery. Horrible since update

Apps cache is cleared from app management BUT under the specific app's storage.

Are you sure you are holding volume up and not volume down while booting up? I've successfully cleared cache after updating to MM

The OP wants the clear the phone's cache via Recovery Mode, which they are not able to access through the normal button press at boot up. What you're pointing out is clearing an apps cache, which is not the same thing.
